Sunday, February 10 - Saturday, March 2
Spend some focused time today in praise of who the Lord is. Psalm 34:3 tells us, “Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together. Read some Psalms and read them as praises to the Lord. You might also find some of your favorite worship music and spend some time praising Him that way.
Today, would you spend time thanking the Lord for all that He has done in your life, your family and then in the life of Petal FBC? Make a list of some of the many ways and things that you are thankful for in your life. Psalm 118:1 says, “Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His love endures forever.”
Focus your prayers on confession and repentance on this day. Be specific and ask the Lord to reveal any area of your heart and life that you need to seek His forgiveness. Write those things down. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
“Not by might nor by power, but my Spirit says the Lord Almighty.” Zechariah 4:6 Spend time expressing and acknowledging your desperate dependence on the Lord. May we be reminded that we are nothing without the Lord and we will accomplish nothing in our independence but only as we rest in Him.
Spend some concentrated in prayer for your family. Pray for yourself, your spouse, your children, your grandchildren, and your parents. Pray that the Lord would be at the center of your home. Ask for the Lord’s protection over your family. Spend time together as a family praying for each other. Share what you can pray for each other.
Today, would you ask the Lord to give you a deep burden and compassion for those without a relationship with Christ? Would you pray that the Lord would break our hearts over their lostness. Pray specifically for the One person that you could share Christ with this week. Pray for boldness and opportunities to invite them to church and to share the Gospel with them in the coming days. Pray that they would be open and ready to hear. “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8
“...The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers in His harvest field.” Matthew 9:37-38 Would you spend time today praying for yourself and others at Petal FBC to feel compelled to share the good news of Christ not only here but on mission to MS, North American and to the ends of the earth? Pray that we see more people willing to go and share the love of Christ!
“..appreciate those who diligently labor among you and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction.” 1 Thessalonians 5:12 On this day, would you pray for our Pastor and the rest of our Church Staff as they lead, guide and shepherd Petal FBC? Would you also pray for that their families would be protected and strengthened? Pray that the Lord would give them purity, wisdom, strength, and passion to lead.
Pray for the continued growth of giving to our 2019 Church Ministry Plan. This year is a huge stretch as we seek to add additional full time staff & increase ministry spending. This is where we encourage and challenge each person to give their tithes or 10% to the work of Petal FBC that extends far beyond our Church. Would you pray about your part in giving and if you are not giving that you would start giving first in your tithes and then to OutLive Your Life? Pray that people would take that next step up the generosity ladder.
Begin to pray now about what your part will be in the OutLive Your Life Phase 2 Emphasis. This is a crucial time in our church’s growth and this will give us much needed space and improvements in many ministry areas in our church. It won’t happen if just a few folks jump on board, but instead it will take all of us. Seek the Lord on what you will give and do on March 3 so that you can outlive your life and help those who have yet to come to Petal FBC.
Spend time today praying for our Student, Children, and Preschool Ministries. Please also pray for the leaders of the vitally important ministries: Chris Robbins, Denise Inmon, & Karen Fordham. Pray that we will be able to make a lasting impact on this next generation and for generations to come.
We are praying to see significant growth in our LifeGroups this year which are our small group Bible studies that meet on Sunday morning. Would you pray that our LifeGroups would grow, deepen, connect and multiply like never before? Pray for your LifeGroup & if you aren’t connected to one, then we encourage you to not pray about this, but to jump in this Sunday!
Pray today for our Church Leadership Our Leadership Teams, Deacons, LifeGroup Leaders, and others who lead our church. Pray that the Lord would give them wisdom & a continued willingness to lead and guide our Church. Pray also that the Lord would raise up new leaders
Would you pray today for Petal FBC as a whole? Would you pray that the Lord would do a fresh and mighty work among us so that we would be amazed!
Pray for our NAMB/IMB missionaries Specifically, would you pray for our efforts in Haiti and our people group in Southeast Asia &our missionaries there?
Would you pray specifically for the Lord to call His people to give sacrificially and faithfully to OutLive Your Life Phase 2? This is a huge undertaking that we cannot do without His provision and power!
Today, pray for those who have yet to come. That is the prayer, hope, and focus of OutLive Your Life and heart of those 20 years ago who voted to move out to our current location. Would you pray they would feel compelled to come?
Would you pray that we would continue and go further than ever before in seeing us become a church that makes disciples who make disciples? That we would not be satisfied with anything less. Please pray about how you will be a disciple who makes disciples.
Today, would you pray about the specific amount that the Lord is calling you and your family to give to OutLive Your Life Phase 2? Would you take time today or tomorrow to fill out that commitment card and pray over it and the impact that your giving will have?
Today, marks the last day of our 21 days of prayer. Would you pray for tomorrow as it is Commitment Sunday for OutLive Your Life Phase 2? This is an important day in the life of Petal FBC and we are praying for the Lord to do amazing things tomorrow.
