The Divine Work of God - He is a God who is, always has been and will always be at work   John 5:17

  • He demonstrated it
  • He directed it Colossians 1:16-17
  • He declared it
  • He delights in it Proverbs 8:27-31

God direction in our work – We are to worship in our work

  • He designed us to work John 4:34
  • He delegated part of His work to us
  • He directs the path of our work

God’s design of our work

  • Its goodness
  • Its freedom
  • Its limits
  • Its focus

Our Response:

  1. Have you ever considered God to be a God who works? Why is this important to understand?
  2. What does it mean that we are made in God’s image? What difference does this make?
  3. How does knowing that God designed you to work and that He considers work/school change the way that you view your work/school?
  4. What is the ultimate focus of your school/work? How can you worship at your work/school?
  5. How can your work/school make a difference in your life and the life of someone else?
  6. What do you think about this statement…? I was made not to just be compensated or to collect a pay check, but to contribute. How can you

contribute to good others through your school/work?
