LISTEN TO THE WORD

  • Do hear the message of the Psalms and the invitation to come and pour out your soul before the Lord? As you do so, listen for the Lord to respond to your cries and your honesty. What is He saying to you today?
  • Do you see and hear God’s call to love His Word, to read and study His word, to mediate on His Word, to follow His Word? How will you do that this week?  In a LifeGroup and even more in your own daily walk with the Lord?  Where and how are you listening to the Word of God in your life?
  • Do you hear God’s call to confess and repent of your sin that traps us and suffocates our life? What sins do you need to confess and repent to Him today?

LEARN THE WORD

  • How do you see the Lord at work in Psalms? How does that change how you think and then respond to the Lord?
  • Where do you see the scarlet thread weaving through the book of Psalms?
  • As you read Psalm 139 we find much understanding about who God is… what do we learn about the Lord here and in other Psalms about Him? If we are off in our thinking about God, we will be off in everything else.

LOVE THE WORD

  • Where do you see the incredible love, forgiveness, kindness, redemption, patience, and goodness of the Lord? How have you seen that in your life?  How does that make you love Him more?  What difference has that made in your life?
  • How do you love Him more as you see that He is your shepherd, your rock, your fortress, your shield, your rod and staff, your strength, your Savior? Name some specific ways you’ve seen these and others in your life?

LIVE THE WORD

  • Turn to the Word & Turn others to the Word – if you have stopped reading it daily, jump on board with us in Week 16 in & listen for what the Lord has to say to you, live it out this week, & share it with someone in your circle of influence.
  • How can you take one of these Psalms and read them, pray them, and then live them out this week?  Write that Psalm down and then plan to apply it to your life this week.
