The 6 Marks - Living Evangelistically Pt. 3

Series: The 6 Marks of Hitting the Mission

Summary

OUR MARKS/MEASURES

This is our Target – It is the When – when we are successful and hit the target (our mission) we believe that is set before us. This are personal questions that we want every person who is a part of our church asking on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis of themselves and of each other.

How Am I Living…

  • Authentically?
  • Biblically?
  • Connectedly?
  • Desperately?
  • Evangelistically?
  • Faithfully?

How Am I Living Evangelistically?

Matthew 5:13-16; 9:35-38; 28:18-20; Acts 1:7-8; Mark 16:14-16; Luke 19:10; 24:44-49; John 3:14-17; 4:35-38; Romans 10:14-15; Isaiah 52:7; 2 Corinthians 5:14-21; John 20:21-23

  • Seeing those far away from the Lord and have a deepening burden and great compassion for them.
  • Building Relationships intentionally with those far away from God.
  • Seeking to regularly engage those who are lost – those far away from God – with the hope of the Gospel.
  • Regularly inviting people in your sphere of influence to come to church with you.
  • Equipped and prepared to share the Gospel with people in your everyday conversations.
  • Praying for the Lord to send workers into the fields and being willing to be that worker who is sent.
  • One who is a disciple and is then making disciples.

Jesus Was Always Going

Jesus Was Always Teaching, Preaching and Healing.

Jesus Saw the Crowd & the Individual.

Jesus Felt Deep Compassion for the Crowds.

Matthew 14:14; 15:32; 23:37; 9:13; 20:34

  • They Were Downcast.
  • They Were Distressed.
  • They Were Directionless.    John 10:1-18

Jesus Tells Them to Pray First and Go Second.

Jesus Always Saw the Harvest.

  • What Is the Harvest?

Those who are lost & it is a huge harvest.

  • What Is Needed for the Harvest?

A great number of workers are needed.

  • Why Is The Harvest So Urgent?

There is a day of judgment on the horizon.

What Are We to Do?

  • We Must See the Need
  • We Must Be Willing to Be Moved
  • We Must See the Reality of the Coming Judgment – Eternity Is at Stake
  • We Must See the Vision – the Harvest
  • We Must Be Willing to Pray
  • We Must Be Willing to Go
  • We Must Be Willing to Share
